HasbiAllahu La Ilaha Illa Huwa: A Powerful Dua for Trust and Protection

Introduction:

In the morning and evening, it's important to recite supplications that bring us closer to Allah and help us in times of need. One of the most powerful supplications for trust and reliance on Allah is "HasbiAllahu la ilaha illa Huwa", a dua recommended by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to affirm reliance on Allah and seek His protection.

dua

:ترجمہ

’’مجھے اللہ ہی کافی ہے، اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، اسی پر میں نے بھروسہ کیا اور وہ عرشِ عظیم کا رب ہے۔‘‘

English Translation:

"Allah is Sufficient for me; there is no deity but Him. In Him, I place my trust, and He is the Lord of the mighty throne."

Benefits of Reciting This Dua:

This dua is a powerful reminder of our reliance on Allah and His omnipotence. It offers the following benefits:

Strengthens Reliance on Allah: It helps affirm that Allah is sufficient for us and that we rely on Him alone.
Protection and Safety: By reciting this dua, we seek Allah’s protection from all harm and trust in His plans.
Fulfillment of Desires: Allah promises to grant whatever is desired from this world and the Hereafter for those who recite it seven times in the morning or evening.

This supplication is found in Surah At-Tawbah (9:129):

حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

Hadith Reference:

A narration regarding the virtue of reciting this dua seven times is found in "Abu Dawud (5081) and Ibn As-Sunni (71)". However, "scholars have classified its chain of transmission as weak".

Since the words of this supplication are from the "Qur'an", it can still be recited as a form of remembrance and trust in Allah.

How to Recite the Dua Properly:

"Morning and Evening": Recite this dua seven times in the morning or evening to experience its full benefits.
"Trust in Allah": While reciting, place your full trust in Allah and remember that He is the Sustainer of all things.
