The Sunnah of Hearing Positive Words – A Beautiful Lesson from the Prophet ﷺ

 




حضرت انس ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ جب کسی کام کے لیے نکلتے تو آپ یا راشد (راہنمائی پانے والے) ، یا نجیح (کامیابی پانے والے) کے الفاظ سننا پسند فرمایا کرتے تھے ۔ ، رواہ الترمذی ۔


Hadith:

Anas (RA) reported that the Prophet ﷺ liked to hear the words: "Ya Rashid" (O rightly guided) and "Ya Najeeh" (O successful) when he set out for a task.

The Importance of Positive Words in Islam

We can follow this beautiful Sunnah by:

Using positive and prayerful words – When leaving home, say or hear words like "May Allah grant success" or "May Allah bless your journey."

Addressing others with good names – Use respectful words like "Brother, Friend, Honorable" instead of negative or harsh names.

Giving good titles to children – Call them with positive names like "My smart child" or "O intelligent one" to boost their confidence.
